Had absolutely nothing to do and trying to savor it, because I know the next few weeks are going to be crazy. I want to watch more PBS and I tried to watch an episode of Nature about Transylvanian wildlife, but it was so slow and I felt like I wasn't really learning much.
Been working on a spring sweater, and worried about how it will turn out. I'm using cotton yarn, which is a lot less forgiving than wool, and the lace pattern is so easy to mess up. I had to pull out and re-do 8 rows today. I'm still excited and hopeful! I think it will turn out nice.
The wait was super long and their set-up was really inefficient, which I honestly expected because it was a pop-up. But I got so pissed off because they didn't have any prices on their menu?? Like great, thanks for telling me that oat milk is an extra dollar BUT +$1 TO WHAT BASE PRICE????
Like, I sometimes struggle with what is a reasonable expectation for a small business and I don't want to be a massive fucking bitch, but girl if you are charging me $12 for a liquid, just tell me I'm begging you.
Then I tried it and it was literally the best tasting matcha I have ever had.
This particular color has been super popular and some people are calling it "trout yarn" because of the color. I was super inspired by this sweater on Raverly and want to use her pattern to make my own trout sweater!
I have a few projects in queue before this, so we'll see when I get to it. I still need to order the yarn for the main body color, and its pretty warm, so I won't be able to wear it for a while. I'm also struggling with the fit/lace pattern of my current project, so that isn't knitting up as quickly as I had hoped.
I try not to be biased against certian genres, but just like high fantasy books, I typically have to push past some of the genre conventions that aren't my favorite in Romance titles.
But this book was sooooo good. I loved the way the struggle was actually realistic and how it didn't have that Hallmark movie feel of "girl, WTF are you doing, why are you leaving your health insurance and 401k matching for that man."
After the Webkinz was secured, I drove to one of my favorite bakeries that sells my FAVORITE pudding. Idk what it is about this stuff, but it is so fluffy and perfect and I'm obsessed.
Anyway I walked by a huge vintage pop-up and found the most comfy sweatshirt. I also stopped by a food truck of a restaurant I have been waiting to open for MONTHS and got a white pizza with four cheeses. Reminded me of my favorite pizza growing up from a restaurant that has long since changed hands. Not exactly, but felt great to remember a little glimpse of it.
Also sent like three other people to the bakery when I was waiting for my pizza because they saw my pudding and had to know where to get it.
